Top quality. Grade 6A, the most elegant, soft and lustrous fabric. 100% Oeko-Tex Mulberry Silk Satin Fabric 22MM Certified for absence of toxic chemicals according to Oeko-Tex standard 100. GRADE 6A. 6A is the highest quality raw silk with long strands, low size deviation, evenness, cleanness, neatness, tenacity and minimal defects. It exhibits a pearly white colour without impurities and a natural luminous shine. WEIGHT 22MM WIDTH 55” (inches) FINISH Satin Satin is smooth, glossy fabric with an elegant fluid drape. It can be cool, refined, and downright sensuous. Real silk satin offers breathability, an elegant sheen, and pure comfort, outclassing its synthetic cousin in all respects. Because of lack of harmful chemicals is ideal for making silk eye masks, pillow cases, hair accessories, dress making, wedding gowns, evening wear and underwear. It is also very lovely for plant dyeing and eco prints projects as it is so called PFD fabric. PFD (prepared for dyeing) fabrics have been desized and scoured, but have been processed without optical brighteners or softeners which can interfere with dye uptake. The silk also wasn't bleached and it has a beautiful natural pearly shade. Long width of 55" will save the material if making dresses or skirts cut in bias. 100% biodegradable to help our the nature as well as the mankind. It is natural, eco-friendly and easy to dye following the techniques designed for protein based fibers. HOW TO WASH YOUR FABRIC Gentle hand wash or silk programme machine wash is recommended. The best way is to just dip it in a cold bucket of water with a capful of gentle organic soap, let it sit for 30 mins, and then rinse it out in fresh water. Air dry and steam ironing gives it a perfect finish. Please allow the shrinkage +/- 5% Can be purchased as a continuous length. Beautiful natural white silk satin is shiny and luxurious.
