This Ball Peen Hammer is great, not only for peening but is also great for striking punches and chisels. The peening face is excellent for rounding the edges of metal pins, fasteners, and rivets, while the ball face of the hammer can also be used to make gaskets for mating surfaces. To use for peening, strike the metal surface you wish to peen repeatedly, with suitable force. For gaskets, simply hold a suitable gasket material over the surface where a corresponding gasket is desired, and lightly tap around the edges of the mating surface to perforate the gasket material.
