Gorgeous rigid (non-stretchy) Leavers lace trim in two colors: Black and Ivory. (Ivory is not white like snow, but definitely not as dark as cream. It's like a warm white.) It's made in Calais, France, by one of the world's most respected lace companies. Their laces are used by top fashion designers and high-end lingerie brands. - 6 3/8" (163mm) Wide - 40% Polyamide 60% Viscose - Leavers lace - Made in France Leavers lace is the apex of modern-day laces, made by a laborious process involving many bobbins on a well-preserved loom. Leavers looms are no longer manufactured since they are so costly to operate, but they produce laces of unrivaled delicacy and beauty. (Raschel lace was created in an effort to mimic leavers lace less expensively, and in some cases raschel does a beautiful job of that.)
