This fabric is made from Tencel (also known as Modal) fibres, which are a sustainable fibre. This means that it's easy to produce as a fibre and the chemical processes used to make it are non-toxic and also don't contribute to harming or polluting the environment further - most waste product is re-used. It's a great alternative if you're looking to be a bit more eco-conscious with your sewing. TENCEL™ branded lyocell and modal fibers are produced by environmentally responsible processes from the sustainably sourced natural raw material wood.
