DOGS KNITTING PATTERN Cast on a kennel of canine characters this weekend with this quick-to-knit pocket dogs collection, including a Jack Russell, Pug, Rottweiler, German Shepherd and a Schnauzer. Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the dogs are knitted in acrylic DK yarns on single pointed needles (not in the round). The German Shepherd, Jack Russell and Schnauzer patterns incorporate intarsia colour-work so are slightly more advanced, but the other dogs are suitable for advanced beginner/intermediate knitters. NEEDLES A pair of 3.25mm straight single pointed knitting needles (US 3). RECOMMENDED YARN Deramores Studio Anti-Pilling DK; double knitting/light worsted weight; 100% acrylic; a few grammes in each colour. NOTIONS A darning or tapestry needle for seaming, toy safety noses and beads for eyes, toy filling SIZES One size only - 7.5cm to 8cm tall. TECHNIQUES For confident beginners and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, knits, purls, increases and decreases, and seaming to finish.
