The lot features a very rare authentic pre-historic Obsidian Clovis point in excellent condition and book value of $3,000. The point is expertly constructed from a nice Obsidian material showing a excellent well-preserved museum quality condition. The point shows a Clovis shape with fine knapping. The point has a collection museum tag that reads, “175-SA10 2” Clovis Obsidian Point from Lake County Oregon Book Value $3,000.00” and “2 Inch Clovis Lake Co. OR. Value 3000”. The point was collected from Homes County in Ohio. This 11,200 B.P. Range artifact is from the Ohio Paleo Native American Indians and is an exceptionally fine large Clovis point showing wonderful detail and fine condition. The colors range from white and greys to browns with a nice speckled or spotted matrix. Provenance: From a multi-generation artifact collection spanning 80-100 years from Las Cruzes, New Mexico. The point is in excellent condition and measures 2 1/8”L x 1”W. Riker case is 4.5” by 3.5” and 1” thick.
