Three Ways to Charge Your Appliances and Mobile Devices  There are three ways to power and charge from the pop up outlet, all three ways can even be used at the same time.  #1. Use the single 15 Amp rated receptacle for powering appliances. The socket is Tamper Resistant (TR) to meet code and keep children from electrocuting themselves. The plug sockets are also fully waterproof, integrated silicone shutters keep water from entering the device.  #2. Use the two USB charging ports, there is one 12W USB-A and one 18W USB-C charging port. The USB charging ports can be used individually or at the same time.   #3. Use the wireless charging QI top to charge a phone with up to 7.5 watts of charging power. Use with non-metal phone cases up to 4.5mm thick. The wireless charging will work in the closed or open positions. You can wirelessly charge any device that has built-in QI charging, use on the most popular phones including: -iPhone 8 and above-Samsung Galaxy 6 and above-Samsung Note 5 and above The middle portion of the top provides the wireless charging, that piece is a durable scratch-resistant black plastic (wireless charging does not work through metal).  Dual Sided for Easy Access Press the top and it fully pops up showing a receptacle on one side, and USB charging on the other, this makes it convenient to plug in your small appliances and mobile devices from either side of the pop up. The receptacle on one side of the pop up outlet is upside down, allowing you to plug in larger style plugs. The pop up has been tested to achieve a spill proof rating for the outlet in the closed position and open position. Silicone gasket seals keep water from entering the outlet, and the inner mechanics and electrical of the pop up. The 15A plug is waterproof rated and feature tamper resistant sockets to meet code. The top of the pop up is 4.55” round, and the bezel is an extremely thin .09” thick.  When pressed, the power only pops up 1.70” above the countertop. The outlets are a very modern looking all gloss black finish. The pop up takes up 4.55” of space under a 3cm thick countertop. Quick Installation on a GFCI Circuit To install, cut a 4 round hole, hardwire your wires up to the bottom of the pop up, drop the pop up in the hole, and secure by tightening the lock nut to the underside of the counter. The pop up can accept non-metallic sheathed cable, and/or metal conduit by using a wire clamp or 1/2 knock out. The pop up needs to be fed by a GFCI protected circuit, typically done from a GFCI switch at the electrical panel, or tapped off of a nearby GFCI line. Meets the Latest 2023 NEC Code 406.5E for Countertops The pop up meets code for kitchen and wet location installations in counters, it is compliant to 2017, 2020, and 2023 National Electrical Code (NEC) 406.5E for countertop use in the USA and Canada. Hidden pop ups provide convenient access to outlets in your counter, they also can be used to meet code that requires a countertop outlet. In-counter outlets also provide a safety feature by eliminating hangings cords caused by traditional outlets in the side of an island. This pop up is designed to be surface mounted in kitchens, islands, bathrooms, or any work station or seating area that may encounter water. The complete top is replaceable should you ever want or need to replace the top.
