Participants wearing costumes inspired by cinema pop-culture take part in the Medoc marathon near Pauillac, southwestern France on September 10, 2022. Returning after a two-year hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the 36th edition of the 42,195km-long race is taking place across vineyards of the Medoc region. The event is interspersed with animations scattered along the course, which include local wine-tasting, and sampling delicacies such as oysters and "entrecote" steak.
